FORTIFERRUM® P is a dietary iron supplement that provides high iron bioavailability through an innovative technology i.e. micronized micro-encapsulated ferric pyrophosphate (SunActive Fe®). The micronized ferric salt is coated with a lipid bilayer that enhances absorption while minimizing reactivity with gastric contents. In a controlled study on 80 pregnant non-anemic patients – 14-28mg liposomal iron reversed iron deficiency (serum ferritin +13.8ng/ml) and improved Hb (+0.3g/dl) during 14-16 weeks of gestation1.
FORTIFERRUM® P has been specifically formulated to meet the needs of expectant mothers. It is a complete pre-natal supplement containing 30mg elemental iron, 60mg vitamin C, 0.4mg vitamin B9 (folate), 5mcg vitamin D3 and 2.5mcg vitamin D3. It is formulated into highly palatable granules with a pleasant strawberry flavour.

How to Use
Due the characteristics and advantages of FortiFerrum®P in the prevention and treatment of iron and folic acid deficiency disorders, the target groups to use this product are the following:
Pregnant woman: Take 1 sachet per day (WHO Recommendations = 30-60mg of iron daily + Folic acid)*
Adolescents and adults = Take 1 sachet per day (WHO Recommendations – 30-45mg of iron supplement daily)
* Pregnant women should follow medical recommendation.
IMPORTANT: FortiFerrum®P is to be taken directly dropping the content into the mouth, or can be taken dissolving in water or juice.
