ProBionic Corporation

ProBionic Corp. is a life science company specializing in the development and commercialization of skin products. The company was created in a research institute Daedok Innopolis - the innovative hub and cradle of South Korea’s life science industry.
 

The founder and Chairman of ProBionic Corp. is Prof Park Yong-Ha from Yuengnam University. He is also Director of Biological Resource Centre (KCTC) and Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology (KRIBB) and Vice-President of the Korean Society of Lactic Acid Bacteria.
 

ProBionic first and flagship product is BoYan-I - the first probiotic product developed for topical application on skin. BoYan-I was developed through the collaboration of three Korean national universities. The formulation itself is gentle but has ultra-moisturising properties for patients with dry and irritated skin. The main ingredient is a naturally sourced plant probiotic Lactobacillus sakei pro65 which has an approved hypersensitive skin functionality claim. It has many other useful botanical ingredients.
 

BoYan-I stands for “clean and bright baby skin”. It was launched in Korea in 2008. Since then - tens of thousands of infants have used the product. It is now used in both children and adults. BoYan-I is marketed in 3 other Asian countries including Singapore. There are plans to introduce BoYan-I in Europe.
